University of New South Wales Win Silver!


The ACM Programming Contest World Finals were held from March 7-11th 2001 at the Westin Bayshore Resort  in Vancouver, Canada.  64 teams had qualified for the finals.  The South Pacific Region were represented in the World Finals by:

University of New South Wales (Harvey Tuch, Ka-shu Wong, and John Lai, coach Hossam El Gindy)
Solved 5 problems and came =11th, winning a silver medal!
Congratulations to the South Pacific Regional Champions 2001.

University of Sydney (Bradley Baetz,  Michael Chapman and Sarah Kummerfeld, coach Eric McCreath)
Solved 4 problems and came =14th, winning a bronze medal.
Congratulations.

University of Melbourne (George Doukas,  Jian He,  John Dethridge, coach Andrew Rogers)
Solved 3 problems and came =29th.
