Details for 2007 Contest:

Timetable for the competition day

10:00 Arrival at AUT and registration. Please report to room WA220.
10:30 Introduction and contest instructions
  During the introduction, each team will be asked to introduce itself. Try to find one interesting piece of information to share with us all!  
11:15 Familiarisation with the environment - WA4th floor computer lab.

12:00 Practice session (teams will try some sample problems)
13:00 Break - a chance for a walk or to get some lunch in Queen St (lunch is NOT provided)

14:00 Contest starts Snacks will be available during the afternoon.

19:00 Contest ends

19:15 Food is provided.  Presentations to teams. WA211

Hardware

The machines to be used for the competition will be Celeron 2.4GHz with 512MB RAM, 15 inch flat panel monitors.

Software

The compilers used in the competition are:

  • Borland C++ Builder : (IDE and Command Line)
  • bcw (integrated environment)
  • Java 1.5 update 4 : available as javac (command line compiler), java (command line interpreter).
  • Delphi 7 (IDE and Command Line)
  • MS Visual Studio.Net 2003- for C++ or Java (J#).

The following editors will be available.

  • GVim - A vi port to windows.
  • Emacs
  • Notepad
  • Eclipse
  • Netbeans
