Regional Champions | U Canterbury | World Finals Site | ACM Photo Tour | Other Photos The ACM Programming Contest World Finals were held from May 27th - 31st in Orlando, Florida, USA. The event was originally schedulled for February in Egypt, but was postponed because of the civil unrest. This year 105 teams qualified for theWorld Finals from "24,915 contestants from 2,070 universities in 88 countries" (ACM). The South Pacific Region was represented in the World Finals by The University of New South Wales, our regional contest winners who represented Australia, and University of Canterbury representing New Zealand. Thanks to IBM, the event sponsors, who provide the accommodation, food and activities that make the World Finals such an experience for the teams.
